urkFest, the annual Turkish Cultural Festival of Seattle, is a celebration of friendship and harmony, aiming to entertain, engage, and educate the community on the beauty and cultural diversity found throughout Turkey.

The theme for TurkFest 2009, Cultural Reflections of Nature, stems from an ancient western Anatolian philosophy that describes earth, air, water, and fire as the four basic elements of nature. Festival attractions will explore the historical, social, and cultural connection between humanity and nature to demonstrate how the natural elements shape people's lives in and around Turkey.
